      Ankle injuries are the most common injury to volleyball players because of the Movements the sport requires such as jumping, shuffles, and explosive movements.  As soon as the player sprain their ankle the should leave their shoes tight and try to keep the area with no movement to avoid anything else major happening to it. Ankle sprains should be immobilized for as short as time as possible to allow for quicker rehabilitation, every ankle sprain needs an 8 week of daily rehabilitation exercise to decrease the risk of re-injury and to make the ankle strong again. Its recommended to use ankle braces for a while after the injury but after everything goes back to normal it will be better to get rid of the ankle braces to make your ankle get stronger again and avoid the ankle to be dependable of an ankle brace to function correctly. This injure its mostly treated with a brace or physical therapy and home exercises to make it stronger again.
